One of the hallmarks of the African savanna is the "towering" giraffe.

The giraffe is not only tall but also graceful and elegant, which is very special in the wild and powerful African grasslands.

The giraffe is a very peculiar animal, and its peculiarity is manifested in many ways.

The giraffe belongs to the suborder Ruminant under the order Even-toed, yes you read it right, the giraffe is a ruminant, and it has four stomachs.

Regurgitation is to vomiting out what you eat and chewing it again, the giraffe's oesophagus is so long that regurgitation is very difficult. But don't worry about the giraffe, it chooses not to regurgitate because regurgitation is to digest grass, most of the giraffe's food is leaves, more easily digested than grass.

Because of the name "deer", many people will think that giraffes are deer family animals, but, no, giraffes are a separate family, called Giraffidae.

Many people take a look at the name and think that this family is only one species of giraffe, no no no, in fact, the giraffe has a very close relative brother - okapi, its buttocks have zebra stripes, but the face is very similar to the giraffe, people once thought it was the giraffe and zebra gave birth to it.

The giraffe is currently the tallest animal on land, standing between 4 and 6 meters tall and weighing around 700 kg to 1 ton, with males going over 1 ton.

It has reticulated spots on its body and two pairs of furry horns on its head.

The biology of why it has such a long neck has been debated before.

Lamarck believes that this is because giraffes often use their necks, so evolved. Darwin, however, believes that this is because the ancestors of giraffes have mutated, the emergence of long-necked individuals, and after natural selection, short-necked giraffes are eliminated.

Giraffes also have a special way of fighting, they fight by throwing their necks.

During the breeding season, male giraffes use their necks along with their heads as meteor hammers and fling their heads at their rivals, and the other side does not show any weakness, so the two giraffes start to fling their necks at each other.

The male giraffe doesn't just smash other males, he also smashes females, not mainly to defeat them, but to stimulate them to urinate, and then determine whether the magnetic giraffe is in heat based on the urine.

Have to admit that the giraffe is a very special animal in every way, is not it?
