Biscuits are one of our favourite snacks and whenever we go out to buy a small snack, we are sure to buy them. This treat should have been eaten by many of you, right? The flavours are varied, the texture is crispy and they really smell great. It's because of the biscuits that we fell in love with eating pasta.

One of the things about pasta is that it's easy to digest and easier to absorb. Apart from buying it, we also like to make my own at home. Of course, you can't compare the taste of home-made biscuits with that of biscuits from outside, because there are no additives, so it doesn't taste as good. However, it has less oil and sugar, so it is very healthy to eat.

Ingredients needed

One orange

2 eggs

60ml plain milk

30g sugar

15g cooking oil

300g flour

100g sweet potato starch

Production steps

1. Prepare an orange, cut it in half and squeeze out about 50g of orange juice.

2. Pour the orange into a large bowl, add two eggs, add 60ml of pure milk, add 30g of sugar and 15g of cooking oil and whisk them well.

3. Pour in 300g of flour and 100g of sweet potato starch and stir with chopsticks to form a floury mixture. If you don't have sweet potato starch, use tapioca starch or corn starch.

4. Knead the dough to a smooth surface. Cover and leave to rest for 10 minutes.

5. Use a rolling pin to roll it out into a round dough sheet, the thinner it is, the crisper it will be. A thickness of 0.2-0.3 cm is usually sufficient.

6. Find a mould and print out the shape. Bottle caps or cups are fine. Just tidy up the edges and then follow the previous steps to print out the shape.

7. Preheat a pan, turn on the lowest heat and cook the pasta slowly with the lid on, without oil.

8. Turn over repeatedly and cook until both sides are golden in colour. The biscuits are ready to serve when they are firm and crisp on impact.

We have some other biscuits to learn a little more about.

I. Soda biscuits

Features: low in fibre and B vitamins

Soda biscuits have less sugar and oil, so yeast is added, which can produce the characteristic flavour of fermented products. Some people mistakenly believe that soda biscuits are nutritious and eaten as breakfast. In fact, to create a layer effect businesses will add baking soda, which affects the vitamin B content or even disappears altogether.

II. Cookies

Features: high sugar, high fat, low protein

The sugar and fat content of biscuits can be slightly higher than other types of biscuits. The crunchy and tasty biscuit ingredients are low gluten flour, such that the wheat flour has less protein.

III. Wafer Cookies

Characteristics: High in calories, low in density, not filling

The wafers are very high in creamy fat, with a large number of calories per piece, and are low in density and not filling, so it is not easy to notice if you eat too much. In fact, three chocolate wafers have more than 200 calories.

IV. Sandwich biscuits

Features: storable, easy to carry, lots of flavours

Sandwich biscuits are made with jam, sugar and other ingredients between two biscuits, such as orange-flavoured sandwich biscuits, which of course are not real oranges. These biscuits are better in terms of taste than ordinary biscuits and are more recognised by consumers.
