Banff National Park is one of the most famous places on the list of places to visit in a lifetime. It's a place where the elements come together in harmony, making the Canadian Rockies a dream destination for all seasons.

After railroad workers stumbled upon a hot spring here, Banff became Canada's first national park in 1885 and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A trip to Banff National Park generally begins in the small town of Banff at the southern end and continues north to the Columbia Icefields, continuing north into the boundaries of Jasper National Park.

It has the following attractions worth seeing.

1. Minnewanka and Twin Jack Lakes

The two lakes are connected, and we visited on a cloudy day, so the turquoise color of the lake did not fully emerge, but it was good weather compared to the snow we encountered two days later. On the map, Lake Minnewanka is a long, narrow body of water, and when you get to the lake, you can drive your car to the parking lot at the bottom of the hill and you will see an extremely open water and a pair of lovely red chairs.

In the golden autumn of October, the trees around the lake have put on a golden coat, and the feeling is the enthusiasm of autumn and the joy of the harvest season. There are wild ducks happily water skiing and feeding in the lake, and the lake walkway can take you to the edge of the lake to get in touch with the water.

2. Monroe Lake

The famous Monroe Lake is probably one of the landmarks that attract many tourists, for example, you were attracted by a beautiful picture of Monroe Lake and became interested in visiting the Rocky Mountains.

Because Monroe Lake is a glacial lake, the water only reaches its highest line at the end of June each year, reflecting the deposited rock dust and giving it a beautiful blue-green color. Monroe Lake is recognized worldwide as the lake with the most photographic stature. The lake is ruby blue and crystal clear and is ringed by jagged valleys like precious jade.

3. Lake Louise

Lake Louise is the main attraction of Banff National Park and the most famous one. The color of the lake is like Tiffany blue velvet, and it is surrounded by the windy Mount Victoria as a barrier, forming a perfect landscape. Known as the "Sapphire of the Rockies", Lake Louise is also the most popular lake for photographers in North America. Lake Louise originated from the Victoria Glacier, and its turquoise water is as clear as an emerald set in the Rocky Mountains from a distance.

4. Bow River Falls

The Bow River Fall is located on the scenic Bow River, which runs along the mountains north of Banff and curves around the city before heading north, shaped like a bow, hence the name. Bow River Falls is only about 10 meters high and is not the most scenic waterfall in Banff, so how did it become famous? In the 1950s, Marilyn Monroe starred in a movie called "River of No Return", which was set here. In the film, Marilyn Monroe was drying her clothes by this river. Since then, Bow River Falls has attracted a large number of backpackers every year.
